Since the Internet's inception, few people have jumped online to search for ads. Most times they either slow us down, or get in the way of the content we want to see. Boasting an ad-blocker, data efficiency and a battery-saver, Opera Mini is the perfect conduit to seamless browsing experiences, free of the frustration of pop-ups. But before we could share that message, we needed to get our audience in the right headspace. Our goal was to craft a piece our audience couldn't help but invest in, and then interrupt it at the worst possible moment through a pop-up ad, mimicking the experience of browsing content online. The result is similarly jarring, frustrating -- albeit in a lighthearted way -- and ultimately an execution that wraps a strong call-to-action neatly in highly engaging, cinematic content.
