Opera - Escape

As a brand, empowering personal choice is a core value for Opera, manifested in beautifully designed, experiential web products that give users as much control over their browsing experience as possible. For many users, however, this control is often relinquished to system default browsers, or legacy products that have share of voice simply because they still exist. Through ‘Escape’, our goal was to offer an alternative view: We all have choices, and those choices matter. Told in the sci-fi genre free of the preconceptions that so often limit our perspectives, the film sets our hero in a place where she doesn’t feel at home. While her circumstances are very much symptomatic of the world she lives in, she is by no means a victim. Instead, she’s holding out for a cure; for escape.
